Cassadee Pope Fulfills a Major Goal
The Voice Bought Her New CD at a Target Store in New York

Cassadee Pope fulfilled a personal goal Tuesday (Oct. 8) when she bought a copy of Frame by Frame, her Republic Nashville debut album, at a Target store near New York City on the day it was released.

The Florida native declared her intentions during a Monday appearance on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live With Carrie Keagan.

"I'm going to Brooklyn -- to the Target in Brooklyn," she told VH1's Jim Shearer. "That's all I know. I'm going to pick it up. It's going to be great."

The trip to the Big Apple is another stop during Pope's media blitz to call attention to her album and Cassadee Pope: Frame by Frame, her CMT docu-series airing Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

During her appearance on Big Morning Buzz, Pope talked about keeping fans updated through video messages she records on her camera phone.

"I figured that was a better way to get in touch with the fans instead of sitting down in a formal confessional," she said. "That was my way of being a little more intimate."

With a hectic schedule, Pope tends to record the messages when she's exhausted, but that's the point.

"I figured that was probably the best time to do it ... to show everybody just how exhausting it is and how much work you have to do to make it and to roll out some music," she said. "When I was most tired, that's when I did it."

As the season three winner of The Voice, Pope is continuing the transition from working in the rock band Hey Monday to cultivating a country audience.

"It's been really amazing so far," she said. "I've been embraced and just welcomed with open arms. It's something that I grew up loving, and it's always been a part of me, so it's nice to be back in that world."

Pope performed her current single, "Wasting All These Tears," following her Big Morning Buzz interview. While in New York, she also made a Tuesday appearance on NBC's Today and will sit in with the Roots on NBC's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.
