Lady Antebellum has postponed their Take Me Downtown tour until 2014, according to a post on their website.
The new dates will begin on Jan. 10 in Peoria, Ill. So far, concerts have been scheduled through the end of May, although 17 tour stops on the calendar do not have confirmed dates.
The band released a new single, "Compass," to country radio on Oct. 1. The single will be featured on a special deluxe edition of their latest album, Golden. The new edition is scheduled for a Nov. 12 release.
The Take Me Downtown tour was initially announced to begin in Southaven, Miss., on Nov. 8 with guests Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves. Both artists will join Lady Antebellum in 2014.
In the message, the band members wrote, "We hope you are loving 'Compass' as much as we are. We're really excited about the deluxe version of Golden coming out in November and all the events and performances we'll be doing around its release, but we're most excited about getting to play this new music live for you!"
However, the band noted, "To accommodate the new release and in order to give you guys the best show possible, we've had to move things around on our tour schedule. ... We hope these changes aren't too much trouble for you and that we'll get to see you in one of the more than 60 cities the tour will hit next year."
The trio said they will continue to post updates and new tour dates to their website.
