Jana Kramer knows when you're the new kid in town, you only get one chance to make a solid first impression. That's exactly what the actress-turned-country star did with her hit single "Why Ya Wanna" and her self-titled debut album released in early 2012.
But she's even more excited about her second album, which -- if her Twitter teases are correct -- will keep the record far from the threat of the dreaded sophomore slump. Just days ago, Kramer posted to fans, "I just heard my new single that will be at country radio next year, and I seriously can't WAIT for y'all to hear it!"
Also included in the tweet were the hashtags "love" and "I still believe in you." Hmmm ... just cryptic and juicy enough to get my wheels turning as to the possible subject matter on this next project.
After all, Kramer has been through a lot personally this year, including a high-profile engagement to fellow country star Brantley Gilbert, and a low-key, very hush-hush breakup with him only months ago. Will we finally get the story through this new music? Only time will tell.
Regardless, Kramer says the new album will truly be a glimpse into her world and the artist and woman she's become.
"This next album is gonna be 100 percent me -- to the 'T' -- so it's fantastic," she wrote. "The last song I played out, people were actually singing along to it, so I was like, 'Yes! It's gonna work maybe!'"
