While the vast majority of major country artists won't be anywhere near a stage on New Year's Eve, there's still plenty of star power in Nashville, Austin and other locales, including Detroit.
CMT.com has compiled a quick overview of some of country acts who will be hard at work as their fans ring in 2014. Rest assured, glasses will be raised, but please be responsible in consuming your adult beverages so you -- and everyone else -- will be around for many years to come.
Music will be heard in downtown Nashville at the honky-tonks while the main attractions take place on an outdoor stage at the end of on Lower Broadway and, as you might expect, the Ryman Auditorium.
Hank Williams Jr. will headline the Bash on Broadway with Brett Eldredge, Blackberry Smoke, the Kopecky Family Band and Striking Matches. Steel guitar wizard Robert Randolph will also be there to sit in with Williams and Blackberry Smoke.
Old Crow Medicine Show sold out two shows at the Ryman, including Monday night's (Dec. 30) appearance with Dale Watson. Singer-songwriter Parker Millsap will be opening Tuesday's show.
In what has become a tradition in Austin, Willie Nelson will headline the New Year's Eve show at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater. Having released a long-awaited reunion album this year, Delbert McClinton and Glen Clark are also on the bill with Paula Nelson and the Whiskey Sisters.
Also in Austin, Ryan Bingham will be at Emo's and Robert Ellis will take the stage at the Parish. In Dallas, Jack Ingram will perform at the Kessler Theater and Old 97's will be at the House of Blues. Lee Brice will celebrate at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth. Hayes Carll will be in his hometown of Houston for a show at the House of Blues.
At this point in their career, Florida Georgia Line is headlining at arenas, but they'll be in the Atlanta area for a Tuesday visit to Wild Bill's in Duluth, Ga.
Dierks Bentley is set to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe's Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Fla.
The Avett Brothers will be partying with friends and family in their home state during a show at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C. Shovels & Rope will open the show.
In more of a jam band vein, the Del McCoury Band will be opening for the String Cheese Incident at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colo.
As for the Detroit gig, the Zac Brown Band has that honor at Joe Louis Arena with support from the Wood Brothers and the AJ Ghent Band.
For those who prefer to celebrate at home, Florida Georgia Line and Miley Cyrus are among those making appearances on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2014 on ABC, and Blake Shelton and Mariah Carey will perform on NBC's New Year's Eve With Carson Daly. Rodney Atkins and Susan Boyle will perform in New York City during Fox News' All American New Year's Eve 2014.
