Lady Antebellum is back in action. The trio will apparently have a few surprises in store for the crowd when they launch their Take Me Downtown tour Friday night (Jan. 10) in Peoria, Ill.
In a little teaser rehearsal video I just received in my inbox, leading lady Hillary Scott says if you're catching the tour, be on the lookout for a few magical moments involving her bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.
"There's a really big surprise that Charles is a part of," she teases. "There's a really big surprise that Dave is a part of."
Tell us more, Hills! Guess we'll have to wait and see for ourselves.
Launching this tour is an exciting moment for Lady A, who took time off the road this past fall so Scott could settle into her new role as mommy to her beautiful baby girl Eisele.
But now it's time to climb on the tour buses again, and they're more than ready. They've been rehearsing in a warehouse space in Nashville for the last several weeks.
"The show is really high energy," Haywood says. "We've been working on the set list ... and really focusing on the production, the lighting -- all aspects of the show."
And when he says "we," he's speaking the truth. He and his bandmates are all hands-on when it comes to planning and designing the show.
"From the songs you hear when you walk in the building that night to the video production you see behind us to all the lighting and things ... we're a part of every process to get this tour and this process as best we can," he says.
It'll be eight trucks, eight buses and one fine time during their tour with special guests Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves.
