Dierks Bentley will be joined by Chris Young, Chase Rice and Jon Pardi for his 2014 Riser tour. He made the announcement Wednesday (Jan. 15) after hacking into CMT's Twitter account and delivering a series of messages for fans.
The first leg of the tour will begin May 9 in Charlotte, N.C., and continue through the summer with shows in California, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin and two dates in Canada. A list of specific cities and dates will be announced in the near future. Ticket information will be made available on Bentley's official website.
The tour's name is taken from Bentley's seventh album, Riser, set for a Feb. 25 release. The project includes his latest single, "I Hold On."
"This tour is the culmination of everything I've been working on for the past two years, both out on the road and in the studio recording Riser," Bentley said. "I know what my fans want -- a kick-ass show, an affordable ticket and a good parking lot scene to get the pre-gaming going.
"The guys opening the show and getting the party started all know how to put on a great live show, and when it comes time for my set, I can promise that we are going big. I have never been more excited about a tour."
Since his debut album in 2003, Bentley has earned 10 No. 1 country hits, such as "What Was I Thinkin'," "Come a Little Closer" and "Home."
