In a house of eight, life is never dull. And when the inhabitants are loud and rowdy Southerners ready for a party, each roommate brings their own unique personality to the table. When the cast of CMT's new series Party Down South came together, those traits were front and center.
After settling into the house and meeting their new summer family, cast members were surprised by what they would eventually learn about each other.
"It's more than drinking and partying," says Ryan "Daddy" Richards. "It's like the way we became friends while we were there. That was the thing that meant the most to me was how I never thought I would be this tight with these people."
"I thought he was a d-bag," interrupts the loveable big man Josh Murray, coaxing laughs from the group.
"Ever since, we all talk every day," concludes Richards.
Bonding time among the housemates went beyond their quest to party the summer away. Daily life also involved learning to work together effectively at a local marina.
"We had to wash boats, clean boats, give jet-ski speeches, catch bait ... basically I got to talk trash to people all day long," says Murray. "That was my favorite part of filming the whole show. I got to give my speeches and have fun with folks. These sons-of-bitches just showed up and were there."
