You know how Taylor Swift used to make the heart-shaped symbol with her hands and show it to all her fans? Well, this fan -- yours truly -- is making those "heart hands" right back at Swift.
How can you not love her? Especially after hearing this delightful Swift news nugget.
Earlier this week, the superstar took some time out of her ridiculously busy schedule to visit with the sweet kids of the Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, R.I. She was accompanied by her dad and spent hours singing and chatting with them.
It was a visit she wanted to keep private to avoid a potential media circus and, above all, keep the focus on the children. This day and this visit were meant to be all about them and their happiness and excitement.
And boy, were they excited. According to news reports, Swift's visit brought smiles and even tears from patient Nathan Cariker's mother. In an interview with WJAR-TV/Providence, she said Swift was "very sweet" and added, "She even introduced herself as if we didn't know who she was."
According to E! Online, Swift also recently popped into Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City to visit with the young patients there. Even though she was only scheduled to hang out for an hour, she stayed for nearly five hours and even took selfies and shared a pretty sizable laugh with patient Shelby Huff.
Swift told the young fan that she herself was almost named Shelby instead of Taylor. She then quipped that her parents "realized my name would be She'll Be Swift and that kids might make fun of me."
Bringing joy, laughter and music into the lives of fans no matter the circumstances -- it's all in a day's work for one of music's biggest hearts.
