Florida Georgia Line have racked up additional platinum while Brantley Gilbert and newcomers Cassadee Pope and Cole Swindell received their first platinum awards from the Recording Industry Association of America. The RIAA made the announcement Tuesday (April 8) for new certifications issued during the month of March 2014.
Florida Georgia Line claim new platinum certifications for "Round Here" and "Stay" and also received a gold certification for "This Is How We Roll."
Platinum certification reflects 1 million in combined downloads and streams. Gold certification is for 500,000 in combined downloads and streams.
Gilbert had two singles which went platinum in March -- "Country Must Be Country Wide" and "You Don't Know Her Like I Do." Pope, who won season three of The Voice, gained her first platinum certification for "Wasting All These Tears." Swindell achieved the milestone for "Chillin' It."
Meanwhile, Darius Rucker's recording of "Wagon Wheel" reached the triple-platinum level.
New certifications in the gold category also include Jon Pardi's "Up All Night" and Gilbert's "Bottoms Up."
