Performance of "Cop Car" Raises a Big Question

Was Keith Urban doing a solo performance Monday night (June 2) at Nashville's famed Bluebird Café, or was it an illusion created for the 2014 CMT Music Awards?

We'll have a better idea when the awards show airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET, but the stage in this video sure looks like the place countless songwriters had visited long before the Bluebird gained a wider national profile on ABC's Nashville. Alone onstage, Urban is playing a Fender Stratocaster guitar as he sings his latest hit, "Cop Car," to a handful of people.

Urban has four nominations for this year's CMT Music Awards. "We Were Us," his hit featuring Miranda Lambert, is up for video of the year and collaborative video of the year. He's also nominated in those two categories for Tim McGraw's "Highway Don't Care," which also features Taylor Swift.

Urban is just one of the top country artists who will be performing at the 2014 CMT Music Awards. Others include Blake Shelton, Brantley Gilbert, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Jake Owen, Jennifer Nettles, Kacey Musgraves, Lady Antebellum, Lee Ann Womack, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan and Lambert.

In addition, Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Danielle Bradbery, David Nail, Thomas Rhett and Tyler Farr will be performing on the Nationwide Insurance Stage.

For the first time ever, the six finalists for the evening's most coveted prize will be revealed during the CMT Music Awards Video of the Year Finalists special airing Wednesday at 7 a.m. ET/PT on CMT.

Immediately following the one-hour special hosted by CMT's Katie Cook, fans can vote all day and throughout the live telecast (ET/CT only) at CMT.com, CMT mobile and via text message to determine the night's big winner. This marks the first year voting for video of the year has continued throughout the day of the CMT Music Awards.
