As it turns out, the award was presented by Blake Shelton, one of her biggest supporters from their involvement in the The Voice. In 2012, Pope was named the winner of NBC's talent competition series.
On her way to the stage, she took a moment to hug Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, but the Florida native saved the biggest hug for Shelton.
"Thank you so much," Pope told the crowd. "I knew my fans were awesome, but wow! I didn't know you guys could do this for me. Thank you. And thanks to everybody that's sitting over here. You all inspire me to just do my best and get better every single day. You are all incredible."
Frame by Frame, her debut album for Republic Nashville, was released in 2013 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's country albums chart. "Wasting All These Tears," the first single from the project, was a Top 10 hit.
After winning The Voice, the activities surrounding recording and promoting her album were documented in a CMT series, Cassadee Pope: Frame by Frame.
