After what was certainly a close race between some of country's heaviest hitters at the 2014 CMT Music Awards, Blake Shelton took home the male video of the year award for "Doin' What She Likes."

During Wednesday night's (June 4) awards show at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, Fargo and Grey's Anatomy star Kate Walsh, decked out in a floor length black and white gown, presented the award.
"What can I say about the amazing men nominated in this category except, 'Wow,' and, 'Meow,'" she said. "And I mean that entirely in the artistic sense."
When Shelton's name was called, he turned to friend, seatmate and fellow category nominee Luke Bryan, feigning surprise with a pantomimed, "Who, me?"
Having just presented the breakthrough video of the year award to Cassadee Pope, whom he mentored on The Voice, Shelton was in visibly high spirits.
"I honestly am shocked to be standing here holding this," he told the crowd. "I'm still freaking out because Cassadee won. I'm so excited for her. Y'all have made this already an unbelievable night for me."
As for beating out his buddy Luke?
"I'll have to buy Luke a very expensive dinner," Shelton quipped.
"Doin' What She Likes" was directed by Mason Dixon and features Shelton planning a romantic night at home for his superstar wife, Miranda Lambert, an evening which, of course, features a margarita or four.
Other nominees for male video of the year included Eric Church's "Give Me Back My Hometown," Hunter Hayes' "I Want Crazy," Jason Aldean's "Night Train," Bryan's "Crash My Party" and Randy Houser's "Runnin' Out of Moonlight."
