How clever! Miranda Lambert can claim a No. 1 platinum album straight out of the box. That's because Platinum is the name of her new album that now tops both Billboard's country and all-genres charts.

Her first-week sales total, according to Nielsen SoundScan, is 179,646 copies, which is a pretty good start toward industry-certified platinum, the official designation that a million albums have been shipped or sold.

The world continues to look rosy for Luke Bryan, too. His "Play It Again" is spending its fourth week at No. 1 on the country airplay chart.

There are two other new albums in the Top 5 and three more farther down the charts. The multi-artist collection Now That's What I Call Country, Volume 7 stands at No. 3 on sales of 30,223 units.

At No. 4, with 18,236 copies sold, is Lucy Hale's Road Between.

The remaining newcomers are Big Smo's Kuntry Livin' (No. 9), Megan and Liz's Simple Life EP (No. 35) and Randy Travis' Hymns: 17 Timeless Songs of Faith (No. 50).

Returning to action is Jon Pardi's Write You a Song (No. 43).

The country airplay chart boasts three new songs: Little Big Town's "Day Drinking" (No. 32), Rascal Flatts' "Payback" (No. 46) and Jana Kramer's "Love" (No. 56).

(Is there no end to these one-word titles?)

The No. 2 and No. 5 albums this week are Brantley Gilbert's Just as I Am and Bryan's Crash My Party, in that order.

Marching directly behind "Play It Again" within the Top 5 songs cluster are Brett Eldredge's "Beat of the Music," Lambert's "Automatic" and Justin Moore's "Lettin' the Night Roll" and Jake Owen's "Beachin'.".

So how about these title tune mashups -- "Shotgun/Payback" and "Love/Day Drinking"?

You are too kind, he thought, bowing to the imagined applause.
