Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood's brand new video "Somethin' Bad" premiered Wednesday morning (June 25) on CMT, MTV and VH1 as a cross-channel, cross-platform world premiere event.
The video debuted simultaneously across the channels and their corresponding websites -- CMT.com, MTV.com and VH1.com -- reaching more than 100 million viewers across the three networks. The video is now live exclusively at MirandaLambert.CMT.com and CarrieUnderwood.CMT.com. The video can also be found on CMT Artists App, Palladia and the network's 24/7 digital music channel, CMT Pure.
"Somethin' Bad" is the second single from Lambert's record-breaking fifth album, Platinum. The video will enter CMT Hot 20 Countdown on Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT.
The video premiere comes on the heels of the powerhouse duo's high-energy performance of "Somethin' Bad" on the 2014 CMT Music Awards. CMT also gave fans their first chance to listen to Platinum with a sneak listen to eight tracks from the album. The stream was promoted across all of CMT, MTV and VH1's digital platforms and now ranks as the No. 1 most-streamed album ever on CMT Artists.
The video premiere will be promoted across all of CMT's digital platforms, including CMT.com, CMT App, CMT Mobile, CMT Radio Networks and to the network's more than 11 million social media fans. In addition, CMT and CMT Pure will air triple shots of Lambert's videos all morning during scheduled music video hours. MTV and VH1's social media platforms will also promote the premiere.
Platinum debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart and the Billboard country albums chart. Lambert is the first country artist in the 50-year history of the trade publication's country albums chart to have each of her first five albums debut at No. 1.
