Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood have finally unveiled the much-anticipated music video for their girl-power collaboration, "Somethin' Bad."
The vision of renowned video director Trey Fanjoy, the "Somethin' Bad" clip features both Lambert and Underwood taking on sassy Thelma & Louise-style roles as they bound from one no-good adventure to the next.
Their dream team collaboration is the second single from Lambert's record-breaking fifth album, Platinum. She is now the only country artist in the 50-year history of Billboard's country albums chart to have each of her first five albums debut at No. 1.
The video will enter CMT Hot 20 Countdown on Saturday (June 28).
Amazingly, Lambert and Underwood said their duet almost never happened since both singers were so shy about approaching each other.
But now after sharing the stage multiple times in recent months -- at the 2014 CMT Music Awards and the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, as well as a stadium-filling CMA Music Festival performance -- Lambert and Underwood have forged an enduring bond.
"It feels good to have somebody like her standing there beside you," Lambert told CMT Hot 20 Countdown about their tag-team performances. "Because you feel like somebody's got your back."
Unfortunately, their double-trouble partnership will have to take a break this summer so the stars can hit the road. Lambert kicks off her Platinum tour July 10, while Underwood will make stops at select festivals and special events.
