With temperatures in the mid-80s, not a cloud in sight and country music to boot, the Mtn. Dew CMT Summer Concert Series was a hit before it ever began.
In fact, screaming fans could be heard all over downtown Nashville as they waited for CMT on Tour artist Kip Moore to take the stage.
On a huge stage nestled underneath the Shelby Street pedestrian bridge, CMT Hot 20 Countdown hosts Cody Alan and Alecia Davis welcomed the cheering fans to an afternoon of country music as a slight breeze from the Cumberland River whistled through the crowd.
Wearing tight black jeans, a cut-off tank top and his signature backwards hat, Moore brought new music (as well as his good looks) to the stage as fans sang along to every word of his new tune, "Come and Get It."
It was the launch of the perfect summertime party, and fans can look forward to more artists sharing the Hot 20 stage in the coming weeks. David Nail will appear July 26, Chris Young on Aug. 9 and Dierks Bentley will conclude the concert series on Sept. 6.
