Saddle up your horses. Big & Rich are riding back into your city.
Ten years after releasing their debut album Horse of a Different Color and the hit single "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)," Big Kenny Alphin and John Rich are coming back with a brand new album.
You know you missed them -- the hooky melodies, the danceable beats, the outrageous outfits and presentation, Big & Rich are truly one-of-a-kind.
Gravity, their upcoming album, is set to drop Sept. 23, but the project is more than just some exciting new tunes from the two. It's an evolution in the journey of the duo. Maybe even a revolution because it also marks the launch of Big & Rich Records, a label they formed in a partnership with Kobalt Label Services. And why wouldn't they take this next step? Clearly these two know their brand and artist better than anyone.
"We are now at the place where we can finally gain complete creative control," Alphin said. "That's huge. It allows us to be true to ourselves and be the trailblazers we've always risked being."
Through the years, Big & Rich have produced, collaborated or written music for everyone from Jason Aldean, Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Merle Haggard to Jason Jones, John Legend and Wyclef Jean.
But despite the beat tracks and left-of-center antics that made the duo a household name and put them on the map, don't expect them to be leaving the country music world.
"We want to be important to country music," Alphin said. "It's important to Big & Rich. It's our musical legacy."
The duo's current single, "Look at You," continues to climb the country airplay chart.
