Roll out the red carpet for newcomer Chase Rice. Country's newest breakout star released Ignite the Night, his brand new album, earlier this week.

It was a monumental moment for Rice, whose emergence on the scene comes complete with a No. 1 smash as a co-writer of Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" and scores of packed-out shows. Above all, his grassroots fan following proves that he's a poster child for success built on hard work, dedication, and tenacity.

Rice took the stage on Monday night (Aug. 18) at New York's Bowery Ballroom for his album launch party which also benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night fundraising efforts. The nonprofit organization is a cause near and dear to his heart because his late father fought a courageous battle with cancer.

"I wanted Ignite the Night to be about more than just an album release," he said. "When I heard about LLS and the Light the Night walks they do all over the country, it just seemed like a cool way to tie in a great cause that helps people struggling with cancer, which I can relate to some since my dad had melanoma."

Proceeds from that show went straight to the nonprofit organization in memory of Rice's late father, whose birthday coincided with Tuesday's release of Ignite the Night.

What an incredible way to honor his father -- and it doesn't stop there, either.

"He was really everything to me," Rice told People magazine. "I'll always carry his memory with me. So my new album has a lot of party songs, but it has some really serious parts to it, as well. It's a tribute to my dad."
