What a Labor Day this turned out to be. Carrie Underwood took to Twitter on Monday (Sept. 1) afternoon to announce -- with the help of her two dogs Ace and Penny -- that she's pregnant with her first child.
"In honor of 'Labor' Day ... Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier," she wrote, posting a picture of herself sitting in a chair with her dogs in "I'm going to be a big brother" and "I'm going to be a big sister" T-shirts.
Within minutes, the tweet was retweeted thousands of times by her nearly 4 million followers.
Underwood's husband Mike Fisher tweeted about the news, too, joking about the baby's potential names.
"We haven't picked names yet but it's looking like Fly is gonna fly. #boyorgirl #flyfisher," Fisher tweeted.
Then again, he also joked back to his wife on Twitter, "I knew you would finally cave and let us get another dog."
No news yet on due dates, but in the photo she posted on social media and several other recent shots of her, she's not showing yet. So I'm going to guess that Baby Underwood could be here right around the New Year.
