This is the easiest and best pumpkin pie in the world and the favorite pie of Adam, Jeremy, Tyler, Tara and Trevor Smith -- my five grandkids.
1 9-inch pastry shell
1 can pumpkin
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Preheat oven to 425°. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well and turn into pastry shell. Bake 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350° and continue baking 20 minutes until done. Butter crust edge.
This wonderful pie doesn't reek of cloves. Kids love it as much as adults.
Next week: Thanksgiving dinner the not-so-hard way!
