Pecan Pie Bars

All you gals and guys who say you cannot cook, here is a recipe that is so easy and so good. Even you can make it for the holidays!

1 1/2 sticks butter

1 pound brown sugar

1 1/3 cup self-rising flour

2 beaten eggs

1 cup chopped pecans

1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 325°.

Melt butter and sugar on medium heat. Boil slowly 2 minutes. Cool in a pan of cold water. Sift flour and add to mixture. Add eggs. Blend well. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Bake in a greased 9-inch square pan for 35 minutes at 325°. Cool and cut into squares.
