Creamed Corn

Shuck and wash fresh corn. Cut and scrape enough corn from the cob to make 3 cups.

1/3 stick butter
1 teaspoon bacon grease
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
pinch black pepper

Place butter in the bottom of a CorningWare dish. Pour in corn and bacon grease. Cook on high for 5 minutes. Stir. Cook 2 minutes longer. Add salt, pepper and sugar. Taste. If necessary, cook one minute longer.
