Banana Fruit Bread

½ cup oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup mashed bananas
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ cup nuts
½ cup raisins, chopped apricots or chopped dates

Preheat oven to 375°.

Blend oil and sugar. Add eggs, mixing well. Combine lemon juice and bananas. After adding and mixing sugar, sift flour and baking powder together and add to banana mixture until just moist. Stir in nuts and fruit. Spread batter in a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 375° for 1½ hours.
