Hot Dish
I came across the great Minnie Pearl's recipe for chess pie. If you're like me, you loved this great lady of fun. She is so missed.
½ cup butter
1 ½ cups sugar
3 eggs beaten
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine butter and sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly until very smooth. Remove pan from heat. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Stir in vinegar, vanilla and salt. Beat well with a wire whisk. Pour into pie shell and bake for 50 minutes.
