1½ pounds ground chuck (or lean ground meat)
1½ cups chopped onions
3 cloves garlic
3 14.5-ounce cans plum
tomatoes, chopped
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
1 cup water
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or 2 teaspoons dried
parsley flakes
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried basil
¾
teaspoon pepper
Cook first three ingredients until meat is done. Drain well. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a
boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for an hour. Serve sauce over cooked spaghetti or use in lasagna or manicotti.

is my favorite to make and to eat. It's a family favorite.
