Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson will join the
New York-based Songwriters Hall of Fame Thursday night (June 14). Emmylou Harris will
perform for Parton's induction. Nelson is scheduled to sing "Rainbow Connection" in honor of fellow inductee Paul
Williams. Diane Warren and Eric Clapton also will become members during the 32nd annual awards ceremony at the Sheraton New
York Hotel & Towers. Billy Joel will receive the Johnny Mercer Award and Ralph Peer II, president and CEO of Peer Music, publisher
of songs by Jimmie Rodgers and Gov. Jimmie Davis,
will accept the Abe Olman Publishing Award. The Songwriters Hall of Fame will have a permanent home at New York University
