Naomi Judd will be featured daily beginning Aug. 20 on WE: Women's Entertainment. Each
weekday between 2 and 4:30 p.m. ET, the country star will dispense advice on "themes important to women such as trust, the
need to please, friendship and personal motivation," according to a news release. Judd is a perfect fit for the channel says
Martin von Ruden, WE's senior vice president and general manager. "As an entertainment legend, she can pull in an audience,"
he says, "but she is 'the star next door,' and her relationship advice is practical since it is based on her personal experience
as a wife, mother and registered nurse." Programming includes House Calls, a half-hour show featuring psychiatrist
Dr. Irvin Wolkoff, and Spiritual Journeys, a half-hour "reality series" that "relates the ways women have tapped into
their spiritual sides to achieve happiness and peace in their lives." Judd also will unshelve Hollywood films such as Mystic
Pizza, Fools Rush In and Peggy Sue Got Married to initiate discussion on a relationship topic. Judd's segments
will be taped at her home in Franklin, Tenn. 06/19/01
