The most striking artifact at the new International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame is the defibrillator and paddles used to try
to revive the dying Elvis Presley in 1977. The museum opened June 30 in Jackson, Tenn., during a rockabilly festival. The
Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame is a one-room museum in the old city court building in downtown Jackson, with a variety of objects.
On display near blue suede boots worn by Jackson native and rockabilly star Carl Perkins are artifacts relating to the Beach
Boys and the Bee Gees. 07/03/01
