Annie Get Your Gun -- minus its star Reba McEntire -- has lost its bullets. The musical revival, which catapulted McEntire
to Broadway stardom in the title role earlier this year, will close after its Saturday (Sept. 1) performance. Producers said
they failed to find a suitable box-office draw for the title role. Crystal Bernard had filled in for the summer after McEntire
left the show. Dolly Parton reportedly turned down the part, according to the New York Post. 08/29/01
