Ricky Skaggs and Marty Stuart will be part of an event Monday (Jan. 14) launching the Tennessee State Quarter. The country
artists will join Memphis-based artists Ruby Wilson and Isaac Hayes at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Honoring
the state's contributions to American music, the new collector's coin features a trumpet (reflecting the blues of Memphis
and West Tennessee), fiddle (representing the Appalachian music of East Tennessee), guitar (symbolizing the country music
of Nashville and Middle Tennessee) and several musical notes with the inscription "Musical Heritage." The limited-edition
Tennessee State Quarter is the 16th coin issued in the U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters Program. 01/09/02
