Allison Moorer is touring with The Chieftains through March 17, singing two songs each night on their 40th anniversary circuit
of the U.S. Moorer's third album, produced by R. S. Field, is tentatively scheduled for release in late spring on the newly
created Universal South label. On her dates with The Chieftains, Moorer sings "Moon Shiner" (from the Songcatcher soundtrack)
and the Irish traditional tune "Carrickfergus." The tour stops Thursday night (Jan. 24) at Chicago's Chicago Theater. Last
date is at Avery Fischer Hall in New York City. 01/23/02
