Loretta Lynn will receive her honorary doctorate from the University of Kentucky in March, during the annual meeting of the
Society for American Music, the Associated Press reports. The University's board of trustees voted in December to give Lynn
the honor. The scholarly society meets March 6-10 on the university's Lexington campus. 01/25/02
