The Dixie Chicks' Home has debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Albums chart and the Billboard
200 chart that includes all musical genres. With 779,828 copies sold, the Chicks also racked up the highest first-week sales
of any female group since SoundScan began tracking retail activity in 1991. Home also broke the trio's own record for
the highest first-week sales for any female country artist and any country group. The Chicks' 1999 album, Fly, sold
341,138 copies during its first week of release to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. With the sales of Home,
the Chicks become the only country group to have released two albums that debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.
After a well-publicized dispute with their record label, the Chicks' Home provided Columbia Records with the company's
highest first-week sales of the SoundScan era. 09/04/02
