Shania Twain visited with reporters backstage at the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 7), posing for photos and fielding questions
after opening the show with her current single, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" Asked about her first U.S. televised performance
in three years, Twain said, "It didn't have the scary impact that I thought it would, because I actually started promotion
in Europe a couple months ago, so I've been able to do quite a bit of TV before coming here. I've sort of been back at that
for a little while, but being back here is special. It's really, really great -- just seeing a lot of familiar faces. It's
been a long time now, I realize it. I came here quite a while ago now to get started, so it's really great to come back and
reminisce." Twain released her first album in 1992 and won the CMA entertainer trophy in 1999. 11/7/02
