Alan Jackson won more awards than anyone at the 36th annual CMA Awards, but the Wednesday night (Nov. 6) show was a ratings
victory for CBS. The network scored its first Wednesday win of the season in viewers and households, according to final National
Nielsen ratings for the night. CBS was also first in men 25-54 and tied for first place with ABC in adults 25-54. CBS Research
estimates that 38 million viewers watched all or part of the broadcast. Compared to the 2001 CMA show, viewership increases
were reported in several key demographics. 11/7/02
