George Strait will open the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Feb. 25. Alabama, retiring from the road in 2003, will close
the festival on March 16. Other performers during the 71st annual rodeo include Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith,
Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Clay Walker and ZZ Top. Multi-act shows will feature Ray Charles
with Ronnie Milsap, Lynyrd Skynyrd with Jerry Jeff Walker, Phil Vassar with Jamie O'Neal, Keith Urban with Cross Canadian
Ragweed and the Rockin' Roadhouse Tour with Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt and Tracy Lawrence. It marks the event's first year
at Reliant Stadium. 1/15/03
