Pam Tillis is the latest country singer to be ordered complete voice rest. Dr. Robert Ossoff and Dr. Thomas Cleveland of the
Vanderbilt Voice Center prescribed Tillis' two-week rest due to vocal trauma, which they described as a bruising of the vocal
cords. The condition will not require surgery. "We are very confident in Dr. Ossoff's diagnosis and have absolute confidence
that with the rehabilitation plan Dr. Cleveland is putting together, Pam's voice will be even stronger than before," said
Tillis' manager Monty Hitchcock. Other country stars recently on voice rest include Randy Travis, Keith Urban and Trick Pony's
Heidi Newfield. 02/18/03
