Lonestar were awarded the Country Radio Broadcasters' (CRB) Humanitarian of the Year on Thursday (Feb. 20) in Nashville. The
CRB noted the band's dedication to the American Red Cross. "We feel like a lot of you folks out there are responsible for
this, because you enable us to do what we love to do," said Lonestar's lead singer Richie McDonald to the audience of country
radio programmers. "And it enables us to give back a small portion to people who really need the help." Lonestar also sang
the national anthem to kick off the 34th annual Country Radio Seminar. Three country radio stations were honored for their
humanitarian efforts: KEEY in Minneapolis, KXKC in New Iberia, La., and WCTY in Norwich, Conn. View
