The June 7 NASCAR Busch Series race at the Nashville Superspeedway will be known as the Trace Adkins Chrome 300. Inspired
by Adkins' latest album, Chrome, the title sponsorship was announced
Thursday (April 24) in Nashville during a luncheon hosted by Capitol Records (Adkins' label home) and the Nashville Superspeedway.
Adkins will serve as grand marshal and sing the national anthem at the race. During Thursday's luncheon, he performed a brief
acoustic set that included a new song that may be featured on his upcoming album, Greatest
Hits, Volume 1, set for July 8 release. 04/24/03
