Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams and Nickel Creek brought a country element to the Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester,
Tenn., which began June 13. "I'm glad they invited me," Harris said at an on-site press conference. "This is just a reflection
of what really has been going on for decades. People have become so eclectic in their musical tastes, which is a great, great
thing. ... It was really an amazing experience for me, not just as a musician, but as a music fan." Other acts that performed
during the three-day festival included James Brown, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Ben Harper, The Dead and the Allman Brothers
Band. Attendance was estimated at 80,000. 06/16/03
