The names that stood out back in the 1980s were undoubtedly actors John Travolta and Debra Winger when the major motion picture
Urban Cowboy was mentioned. The music from the movie sparks such names as Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee. Fans will be
excited to know that a stage musical of the movie is in the works. The actors playing the leads are James Carpinello and Laura
Lukas, and the heavyweight music names will be Clint Black and Travis Tritt. Aaron Latham, whose Esquire magazine cover feature
prompted the original movie, has co-written the show that will hopefully hit Broadway this Fall.
