Look for country greats Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks and Reba McEntire to perform on the upcoming American Music Awards,
airing January 26th on ABC-TV. The show, hosted by prime-time great Drew Carey, will also feature performances by the Spice
Girls, Michael Bolton, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. Both LeAnn Rimes and George Strait received multiple nominations
for the upcoming awards telecast. Strait garnered nods for Country Male Artist and Country Album of the Year for Carrying
Your Love With Me. Rimes is up for Country Female Artist and Country Album of the Year for Unchained Melody.
Other country artists up for trophies include Clint Black and Alan Jackson, both up for Country Male Artist; Reba McEntire
and Shania Twain, both up for Country Female Artist; Alabama, Brooks & Dunn and Sawyer Brown, all nominated for Country Band
or Duo; Tim McGraw (Everywhere) and Trisha Yearwood (Songbook: A Collection Of Hits), both up for Country Album
of the Year; and Bob Carlisle, Lee Ann Womack and Kevin Sharp, nominated for the coveted New Artist honor. This year's show
marks the 25th edition of the American Music Awards.
