According to the National Transportation Safety Board, the late John Denver's fatal plane crash last year was due to a lack
of fuel and the singer's inexperience with the new experimental aircraft. The safety board agreed that Denver departed with
too little fuel in one tank, which caused the plane to roll when Denver tried to switch tanks for back-up fuel. The board
also determined that the placement of incorrectly marked gears was partially to blame as well.
