Traditionalist Mark Chesnutt has been tapped as the new national spokesperson for the Children's Organ Transplant Association.
The singer initially became involved with the association after discovering that a fan of his had undergone a second lung
transplant during his cystic fibrosis battle. Michael LeFrere, age 21 from New Orleans, had planned to attend Chesnutt's March
14th concert in Crescent City, but passed away only a week before the show. "I just couldn't believe that Michael's goal was
to see my show," reported Chesnutt. "He was fighting for his life, and he put me on his priority list. That's a real humbling
experience."
