Dixie Chicks frontwoman Natalie Maines gave birth to her first child Thursday (March 15) at 9:57 a.m. in Austin, Texas. She and her husband, actor Adrian Pasdar, named him Jackson Slade Pasdar. The baby weighed 6 pounds and measured 20 inches long. The news was broken to a national TV audience Thursday night when Maines' bandmate, Emily Robison, called in to talk to Loretta Lynn during her appearance on A & E's Live By Request, which was broadcasting live from Nashville. Robison said both mom and baby were doing fine. "He has sandy blond hair and Natalie's nose," Robison said in a press release issued Friday (March 16). "She made us very jealous. It was a very easy and fast delivery."
