Another highlight during the recent Country Radio Seminar was the surprise appearance Lee Ann Womack made during singer/ex-husband Jason Sellers' performance. Womack joined her ex-hubby on stage to duo on his new single, "This Small Divide," a song he co-wrote during his divorce from Womack. After seeing his ex-wife on stage, Sellars admitted, "Wow, I want you back." Womack joked, "You should've said something sooner."
Country great Dwight Yoakam also made an unexpected appearance during a
recent Faith Hill performance at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Also on the bill were The Lynns and new country trio The Wilkinsons.
And do you remember Tanya Tucker's surprising and flashing appearance that made headlines during last year's seminar festivities?
In keeping with tradition, a Tanya impersonator showed up at the Printer's Alley performances this year. Turns out, the imposter
was Monument Records regional promotions rep Wix Wichmann. Singer Rhett Akins also got a surprise visit from a police officer
when he had finished a performance at another Nashville club. Akins was stopped because of a broken headlight and unfortunately
didn't have any identification to offer the officer. He was saved by the bell when he looked over his shoulder and saw a huge
billboard featuring his own picture. The officer then let him go, plus asked Akins for his autograph.
