Novelist and Newsweek music writer David Gates is travelling with Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys to gather
material for a New Yorker profile. Gates says he hopes to complete the profile in May. Interest in Stanley's music has increased
lately because of its use in the soundtrack of the movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou? Last year, the New Yorker carried
a full-page photo of Stanley, Emmylou Harris, John Hartford and other artists featured in this newest Coen Brothers' film.
