Sunday (Feb. 11) Joe Diffie rounds up his friends for the annual Country Steps in for First Steps benefit, set for 6:30 p.m.
CT at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium. Now in its 9th year, the show raises money for First Steps, a school that provides
services for mentally and physically disabled children. Diffie's son, Tyler, has Down syndrome and once attended the program.
To date, the benefit concert and annual golf tournament have raised more than $600,000. Lending their time and talents this
year are Neal McCoy, Mark Wills, Keith Urban, Trace Adkins, The Martins, Chalee Tennison, Lisa Angelle, Jimmy Hall and comedian
Mike Snider. Fans also can bid on collectibles in a silent auction, which includes a George Strait tour jacket, a Martina
McBride purse and a "very stiff" pair of jeans from Clint Black. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the Ryman
box office.
