In other RIAA news, George Strait has received his latest gold record for the holiday album, Merry Christmas Wherever You
Are. The award is Strait's 26th gold certification, which ties him with legendary crooner Frank Sinatra. Only five other
acts have earned more gold records -- Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Elton John, Bob Dylan and Kenny Rogers.
