Williamson County District Attorney Ron Davis, who's been carefully studying the reports regarding George Jones' recent automobile
accident, explains that the case is worth opening up to a Williamson County grand jury. Questions about Jones' possible consumption
of alcohol prior to his accident continue to brew further investigation. "I have decided that there are enough open questions
and maybe even contradictions in this case that it needs to be presented to the Williamson County grand jury," explains Davis,
"and let a grand jury of citizens of Williamson County make the decision." Davis also says the grand jury will receive the
reports the second Monday in May, and will decide then whether or not to charge the legendary singer with an offense or defer
the case. No specific details were listed from the actual accident report.
